MS Bike 150…again!

Once again this summer I’ll be participating in a Bike MS  ride. This year I’ll be doing one of the Iowa Rides (Cruise the Cornfields 2010 – yeah I know insert Iowa joke here) on August 28th & 29th. The ride is an attempt to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis as well as to raise money for the North Central States Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The money raised will go to MS research as well as to helping thousands of people in Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota living with MS. As it stands today my team consists of myself and my good friend Frank. We’ll be riding a total of 150 miles over two days starting from Ankeny. Happy 2nd Birthday Aubrey!

It’s finally here – the birthday after which we no longer measure Aubrey’s age in months. Happy 2nd Birthday Aubrey! To celebrate we had a family party this past weekend (May 8th). It was great that so many people in our family made it considering they traveled from all over. My Dad and Stepmom were here from Council Bluffs, Rebecca’s Dad came up from Madison and Rebecca’s Mom came from Sedona, Arizona (long distance winner). Last year at Ella’s first birthday party Aubrey was glued to Papa Rick as he played the keyboard for an impromptu sing-along. We made sure we incorporated the sing-along into this party as well. If you happen to check out the pictures of the party you’ll see that there was a musical theme this year....
